The Full Story
About us
Established in 2007, the AFFL emerged well after American football had become established in Luxembourg. The initial teams in Luxembourg included the Luxembourg Lions and the Dudelange Dragons, with the latter founded in 1993. Today, the AFFL encompasses four clubs and approximately 110 active players, representing a steadily expanding community of American football enthusiasts.
Mission
The American Football Federation Luxembourg is dedicated to promoting, developing, and growing American football and Flag football across Luxembourg. Our mission is to foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence both on and off the field by supporting athletes, coaches, and clubs at all levels.
Vision
The organisation aims to represent Luxembourg in American Football and Flag Football at international events, including European and World Championships. Its objectives include creating systems for youth development, coaching, and increasing public awareness to promote the sport's sustainable growth. Over the next decade, the focus will be on forming national teams, supporting youth development, and establishing American Football and Flag Football within Luxembourg's sports sector.
